Over Van Hall Innovations

Why we exist

The story of Van Hall Innovations begins with Gerard Lathouwers van Hall, who in 2010 embarked on a transformative journey from the Netherlands to Puerto Rico, USA. His move exposed him to the harsh realities of hurricanes, earthquakes and frequent power and water outages, leaving him without power and drinking water.

Determined to find a sustainable solution, Gerard embarked on a mission to build a 100% sustainable home that would operate completely independent of the power grid. He installed a solar system to harness renewable energy and implemented a water treatment plant with powerful UV filters.

In recognition of his remarkable achievements, Gerard received Cemex's prestigious Sustainable Building Award in 2017, a confirmation of the effectiveness and innovation of his sustainable approach. Three years later, based on his extensive experience in green energy and clean water, he decided to share his knowledge with the world and founded Van Hall Innovations in his home country of the Netherlands.

Today, Van Hall Innovations is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions that revolutionize the way we generate and use energy, as well as ensuring access to clean and purified (drinking) water. Gerard's personal journey and commitment to sustainability serve as the driving force behind the company's mission to create a greener and more resilient future
